AUGUSTA -- Video games and consoles alike have constantly evolved over the years.
From the days of the original Nintendo Entertainment System to the current Wii, gamers of all ages have witnessed the industry's transitions in graphics and the processing powers of the newest systems.
However, with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii being the current gaming platforms, the companies behind these products continue to launch new renditions of these consoles every year.
Even game publishers have done the same thing by relaunching a game title only a couple of months after its release with minor additions.
Gamers feel that these tactics are not in favor of the consumer and that these companies should invest more time into the hardware and gaming software.
Only time will tell if the gaming industry will focus its sights on gamers rather than constantly make newer versions of the same product to generate revenue.
