AIKEN -- Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced some new and innovative changes for the social media website, but the site's users have mixed emotions.
Yesterday, the site made some minor changes to the interface which included an updated newsfeed with blue markers to signify stories that may interest users. Also, a new ticker integration was implemented that allows users to see their friends' activities.
Zuckerberg announced the timeline feature, an add-on that grants Facebook users the ability to virtually document their lives all the way back to the day of their birth.
Another feature is the ability to observe users' playlists and even tune in to the same song he or she is listening to.
Also, new apps for the site will be categorized under games, communication, media (books, television, movies, radio) and lifestyle (diet, fitness, etc.).
Unfortunately, with the amount of mixed reactions and complaints, Facebook has yet to create a "dislike" button.
With all of the changes Facebook is going through, there is no doubt that the company is on the front lines of revolutionizing social media outlets.
