AUGUSTA -- Augusta can never get enough of the sights, sounds and flavors of the world.
Students at Augusta State University had the opportunity to see different parts of the world during its annual International Festival.
Countries from parts of Europe, Africa and Latin America were represented through food, fashion and performance arts. Performances included American Cabaret belly dancing, European style dancing and a cultural fashion show featuring faculty and students from around campus.
The university has been hosting its annual International Festival for almost 10 years and has witnessed a growth in the participation of students and cultural business throughout the community.
Participants and students say this annual festival is important to the community because it brings a preview of the cultures around the world to Augusta.
This event is free and open to anyone interested in learning about different cultures.
