Murder suspect's mother killed in car accident

Bulloch County, Ga (WRDW) -- News 12 has learned the mother of the teen accused of stabbing her aunt to death died in a car accident Tuesday night.

Tina Wright, The mother of the 14-year-old suspected of killing 49-year-old Sherry Lynn Mack died in an accident on I-16 in Bullock county near exit 126 while heading to Burke County.

The driver of the van exited the highway, went down the embankment and hit a concrete culvert.

The driver and another passenger survived the accident, but Wright was thrown forward into the windshield and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's daughter is in custody and charged with murder and possession of a knife.

The murder happened on Scotts Store Road in Burke County, near the Jenkins County Line Monday night.
