DULUTH, Ga. (AP) -- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich stumped
for Republican gubernatorial nominee Nathan Deal at a rally in
Gwinnett County, calling this year's election "amazingly
important."

Thursday's event at the Gwinnett Center was the final stop in
Deal's bus tour around the state. It was sponsored by Gingrich's
group "American Solutions."

Deal -- who's running against Democrat Roy Barnes -- said voters
want jobs and that's what he would deliver as governor.

Gingrich urged a couple hundred supporters gathered at the
Gwinnett Center to use Facebook and Twitter to get out the vote.

Gingrich and Deal served together in the House. Deal swapped
parties to become a Republican in 1995, adding to the ranks of
Gingrich's Republican revolution.
