Augusta State University Officials Not Part of Amethyst Initiatives

Updated: 08/23/2008 - We've seen it one too many times - a teenager or college student dies in a car accident as the result of alcohol. Now a national group is rallying college presidents in a effort to lower the drinking age from 21 to 18. So far about 100 presidents have joined the effort by signing the online petition. Augusta State University, however has not signed the list because administrators and public safety officials there say there is no binge drinking problem on ASU campus anyway because it is a dry campus
