House fires in Graniteville

Wednesday afternoon at about 2pm, a man jogging on Silver Fox Way spotted a tiny flame between two houses. The man called 911, then started knocking on neighbor's doors. Within a few minutes, one of the houses was on fire. That house has burned completely. Another house was damaged on one side.

Warrenton plant shuts down

The Wheland Foundry plant in Warrenton is finally putting the brakes on their production. More than 100 people are expected to lose their jobs after the company announced their plans to shut down.

Belvedere house fire

A house burns to the ground in Aiken County, and investigators say they are not ruling out arson as the cause. It happened Tuesday night on Bradleyville Drive around 9 o'clock.

Columbia County shows teenagers driving dangers

Aiken County meth lab bust

Aiken County deputies discovered a methamphetamine lab in a Burnettown neighborhood. Around 6:30 yesterday evening, Aiken County investigators searched this home and found meth cooking in every room, from the kitchen to the attic.

Dead body found in trash

New information about the man whose body was found Monday in a trash container in downtown Augusta. Officers know who he was, but they're not saying until they notify his family. Investigators think the family may live in Wisconsin.

S.C. students declare majors long before college

At Midland Valley High School, a pilot program is underway for the Aiken County school district. Right now teachers and administrators are designing a plan to help students decide what they may want to do after high school. North Augusta mother wants to change divorce laws

A North Augusta mother wants to change divorce laws in South Carolina. Karyn Young, who now goes by her maiden name Grace, is the mother of two young boys who were killed by their father. Authorities say Terry Young drowned his two boys and then shot himself. Grace and Young were in the middle of a divorce. Current law requires a couple be separated for one year before the divorce is final.

In a developing story out of downtown Augusta, investigators are looking into the discovery of a body in a garbage can behind a business off Broad Street. The body of a white male was found late this morning at 516 Broad Street, behind William Murrell and Associates, a local limo service.

Aiken County sheriff's deputies are searching for two men who robbed the Breaker's convenience store on Trolley Road in Aiken late Saturday night.
