Armed robbery at North Augusta mini mart

North Augusta Public Safety officers are on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect. The Friendly Mini Mart on the 600 block of East Buena Vista Avenue was robbed just before 9 o'clock last night.

Bank robbed in West Augusta

The Augusta Seaboard System Federal Credit Union was robbed at 2:30 p.m. Two men were involved in the robbery. One had a gun, and the other carried a bag for the money.

Millen Jockey plant phasing out sewing operation

Jockey International, Inc. announced today that it will phase out sewing operations at its Millen, Georgia sewing plant. Sewing production at the Millen plant will be phased out over the next several months. The decision will affect approximately 200 employees.
