Columbia County tag offices temporarily closed

The Columbia County Tag Offices in both Evans and Appling are temporarily closed again today due to state computer programming problems. The Georgia Registration and Titling System is inoperable at this time.

Apartment break-in ends with gunfire

A break-in at a Lumpkin Road apartment complex ended with gunshots, and now police are searching for the two men responsible. No one was injured, but residents say they're fearful of being hit by a stray bullet.
