Work being completed along Doug Barnard Parkway

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Work is finally being done on a bumpy stretch of road along Doug Barnard Parkway on the way to the airport.

Augusta utility workers discovered an abandoned sewer line had been causing the road to actually sink in some places.

Utilities authorities say they have contracted a crew to finish the sewer work within the next couple of weeks.
