Suspect asking for change of venue in trial for murder of Glascock Co. mother

Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2012

GLASCOCK COUNTY, Ga. -- Another suspect in the brutal murder of a Glascock County mother has requested a change of venue.

News 12 has learned Tina Wells' attorney has filed for a motion to change venue.

Ricky Wells, who is also accused in the case, asked for the same thing earlier this year.

Both Ricky and Tina are accused of shooting Jennifer Kitchens Wells, tying her to the back of a truck and then dragging her for more than 6 miles across multiple counties.

The next step is for each of them to be arraigned, which will happen in Burke County. After that, they will have a hearing to determine whether the case should be moved.

The McDuffie County Clerk of Court says the arraignment dates have not been set for either of them at this time.

News 12 will keep you updated on this case.
