AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Stephen Jeffrey Babb, 28, of Waynesboro was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison on child pornography charges, according to the U. S. Department of Justice.

He'll also be supervised after his release and ordered to pay $6,000 in restitution to victims. Babb pleaded guilty to the charges in January.

According to the evidence, Babb traded child pornography images using various email addresses on free Augusta-area wireless services at fast food restaurants. Babb also posted information on one or more international websites where he advertised child porn, according to the DOJ.

Babb was identified after the investigation of Homeland Security and the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

After a search warrant was issued, Babb’s computer was found with 870 still images and 93 video images of child pornography.
