Waynesboro, Ga (WRDW) - A busy morning for Waynesboro Police, after a body was found earlier this morning.

"Waynesboro police department received a call about a deceased female who was located off of 11th street," said Pat Morgan with Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

It happened right down from Top Quality Auto Junkyard.

That woman is identified as 53-year-old, Mary Lee Crumbley, the sister of a woman who was killed earlier this year.

Mary Lee's sister Linda Crumbley, was shot killed on Biltmore Place in April. The suspect in her death still in jail.

Now, investigators are looking into who killed Linda's sister, to bring some answers to a family that's already mourning.

"We still have several leads and several developing things that are going on at this time," he said.

He's investigating the case along with the Waynesboro Police Department. The body has been sent in for an autopsy.

But at this point, officials say they're not investigating this as a homicide. and the coroner says she doesn't suspect foul play, leaving a lot of unanswered questions --

"There's other investigative techniques that we'll use and try to determine and back track her steps to see what we can find out about the last hours and minutes of her life," said Morgan.
