Wagener man to serve 23 years after pleading guilty to manslaughter

Sunday, April 20, 2014

WAGENER, S.C. (WRDW) -- A Wagener man will spend 23 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and kidnapping in court on Tuesday.

Ricardo Levon Williams was arrested back in September for shooting a 25-year-old Lexington woman named Kerry Eck.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office says she was found dead in her car on Highway 39 near Camp Rawls Rd.

Deputies believe the shooting stemmed from a drug deal gone bad.

Williams turned himself in to authorities the day after the shooting.

In court on Tuesday he pleaded guilty to Kidnapping and Voluntary Manslaughter and will now spend 23 years behind bars.
