AUGUSTA, Ga. -- There's a choice between three logos, three seals and two color palettes.
After choosing the name split the community, school leaders are hoping this choice does the opposite.
“If this helps a little bit in helping bring the organizations together, and getting a sense of engagement, or ownership even, amongst our most important constituents, our internal family, then it's done its part,” said GHSU Senior VP of Communications and Marketing David Brond.
The school sent out a survey to faculty, staff, students and alumni of both GHSU and ASU so they could select their favorite designs for the new Georgia Regents University.
Soon the logo will change from the current interim logo to one of the three new options.
But that's not all they get to choose.
They have to pick a color palette, too. They have a choice between a red along with the old Augusta State blue, or a blue/grey combination.
They also need to choose the next official university seal.
While they all look a little different, one detail stays the same.
“One of the icons on the seal is a unity flame. The unity flame is really symbolic of what this whole consolidation is, it's two organizations coming together,” Brond said.
“Makes me feel like I'm taking a part in the merge between GHSU and Augusta State University. Definitely gives me a voice,” ASU student Danielle Pelmore said.
The survey has been out for three days now, but in the midst of finals, students say this just isn't at the top of their priority list.
“Very, very low. I do it out of fidelity to the school and trying to be a member of the community, but not because I really care,” GHSU student Jack O’Neill said.
“I haven't been able to look at them yet, but I plan on it maybe after finals blow over,” Pelmore said.
While the school wants this to be a positive thing for the campus, some students say there's one thing that's making choosing a logo hard.
“The fact that I still don't like the name change. The actual way that GRU looks on the logos and in the seals, I think that I have a negative bias towards it,” O’Neill said.
The survey went out to 46,000 people in the university community. The design that gets the most votes will be the winner. Voting continues until Wednesday at noon.
Even though last time they did a survey -- about the name -- people were put off because the most popular name did not win out.
But, they insist, this time, it'll be different.
The people completing the survey will actually have the final say here, and we should know the results later this week.
