Vets, public invited to Charlie Norwood VA public hearing

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Veterans and other members of the community are invited to the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center "Town Hall Meeting" on Sept. 9.

The public hearing will begin at 4 p.m. in the Uptown Medical Facility Auditorium on 1 Freedom Way in Augusta.

Medical Center Director Robert Hamilton and Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center staff leaders are expected to give an update on facility improvements. An Outreach Team will be available with information on women’s health, OEF/OIF/OND, social work services, My HealtheVet communication program, voluntary services, human resources, vet center and primary care services.

Representatives and staff members from the area's Congressional Delegation are also invited to the event.
