AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is assisting the state in an investigation into an unlicensed personal care home in South Augusta.
The home is on the 2500 block of Anthony Dejuan Parkway, Pamela Costabile, Augusta's code enforcement manager, said. She said she believed about 17 people lived in the home.
The Personal Care Home Division of the Department of Community Health was at the scene Wednesday afternoon.
Her office is handling the situation from the licensing aspect, Costabile said.
The home has six rooms that include three bedrooms, two baths and is approximately 1,833 square feet, county tax records show.
