Update: 2 teens missing from Aiken County DJJ camp found safe

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) - The two teenage girls that escaped a South Carolina DJJ facility have been found, he Aiken County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said Alyssa Mayes and Aikiriea Crockett, both 16, were located in Lancaster and are safe and doing well.

The girls will be returned to Camp Long as soon as possible.

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) - The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is looking for two teenage girls who escaped from a South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice facility.

Deputies said Alyssa Mayes and Aikiriea Crockett, both 16, were seen walking about from Camp Long on Dec. 30.

Mayes is 5'2', and weighs about 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue sweat pants and a blue sweatshirt.

Crockett is 5'1'', also 120 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Crockett was also last seen in blue sweat pants and a blue sweatshirt.

Camp Long is a residence facility for teens in DJJ. The facility is located just off of Wire Road, north of the city of Aiken.
