AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two teens were in court Friday morning facing gang activity and reckless conduct charges stemming from recent shootings.

Dijon Abbott, 17, had his first appearance for allegedly shooting and killing 19-year-old Marquez Eubanks, a former Laney High School football player, on Monday.

Abbott was in court Friday for allegedly being involved in a gang shooting that News 12 reported on in June.

Jerome Marquis Smith,19, was also arrested for reckless conduct and unlawful street gang activity. He is one of the now six suspects in that shooting, including 17-year-old Marquise Deion Lewis, 17-year-old Nicholas Antwone Lockhart, 18-year-old Jordan Jamal Lovett, 17-year-old Michael Di'Quez Scott and Abbott.

In court, the judge said the teens were accused of shooting into a party and trying to hit another gang member.

The cases will be passed along to superior court so bond can be decided for the felony charges.
