Couple arrested for drug trafficking

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- Two people were arrested for drug trafficking after a tip led North Augusta’s Department of Public Safety to a large amount of marijuana, law enforcement confirms.

23-year-old, Aris Juanchesco Flores was arrested outside of his home in Plaza Place Apartments, according to a NADPS release. Detectives connected Flores to a package with marijuana delivered to his apartment.

Flores’ 22-year-old girlfriend, Janessa Jeanmiare Gibson, who lives in the apartment was arrested too, according to a NADPS release.

Law enforcement said after executing a search warrant and found over a pound of marijuana inside.

NADPS undercover narcotic detectives along with narcotic investigators from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest.

Flores and Gibson were charged with trafficking marijuana and were booked into NADPS.
