Two on the loose after shooting in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's office is investigating a shooting and armed robbery that took place around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a sheriff's office report, a man living on Hummingbird Lane arrived home Wednesday afternoon when he was approached by a silver Chevy Impala. The victim of the shooting told deputies he was getting out of his car when the passenger of the Impala got out, pointed a gun at him and shouted "give it up."

It was at this point that the victim says there was a struggle and two shots were fired; one of those hitting the victim in the left forearm. He was taken to GRU for treatment of those injuries and is expected to recover.

No known identities have been released for the suspects and no arrests have been made.
