AUGUSTA, Ga. -- $320 million is up for grabs Wednesday in the Powerball lottery's fourth-highest jackpot ever.
"I've never played Powerball before until today," Marianne Simonds said.
She only plays the lottery once a year when she gets scratch=off tickets in her Christmas stocking.
"It just kind of seems like a waste of money," she added.
However, with $320 million floating around, she's wasting no time buying a ticket.
Lots of others are doing the same thing. LaRon Churchwell works at a Shell station in Augusta. A big part of his job is selling lotto tickets.
"I sold, I know, about 20," he said.
That's 20 tickets in his first 30 minutes of work.
"It'll pick up because people are going to play when they get off work," Churchwell added.
All those people buying lottery tickets to answer the $320 million dollar question: What would you do if you won the lottery?
"Retire. Travel. I won't work anymore," Churchwell said.
"I would share it with my family. I would make sure everybody was situated," Simonds said.
After she takes care of her family's financial stability: "I would say probably a trip. I'd love to take a big trip, maybe like an around-the-world cruise for my family."
