AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) -- South Carolina Highway Patrol says two drivers were taken to the hospital after an accident on Beaver Dam Road Saturday night.
South Carolina Highway patrol says Jeffrey Clark was driving a Ford SUV when he was traveling on Secondary 29 and Lane Cook was driving a Dodge Pick-up truck traveling east on Beaver Dam Road. They say Cook made an improper start from the stop sign at the intersection and caused Clark to collide with him.
South Carolina Highway Patrol says Cook then ran off the road into a power pole. Officials say Cook is the driver at fault and was cited but it's unclear what he was cited for at this time. Clark was not wearing a seat belt.
Officials say the accident happened around 9 p.m. on Saturday.
