MILLEN, Ga. (WRDW) -- A Twin City police officer was killed in a car crash on Friday trying to flee law enforcement, the Jenkins County Sheriff's Office confirms.

Officer Dillon Gay died in an off-duty crash on Highway 25 north of Millen.

Georgia State Patrol said Gay was fleeing law enforcement officers in Jenkins County around 6:20 p.m.
