AIKEN CO., S.C. (WRDW) -- People throughout Aiken County were experiencing widespread power outages this morning.

Aiken Electric Co-op officials say Santee Cooper was experiencing transmission problems leaving 15,000 people in East Aiken, College Acres, New Ellenton, Silver Bluff, North Augusta and Warrenville without power.

Most people's power are back on now, but the company's North Augusta hub is still down, affecting 2,500 people. It's working to correct the problem.
