COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Authorities are investigating a car crash on Horizon South Parkway near the Walmart.

Three cars were involved in the accident. According to officials, a Toyota Camry was heading away from I-20 towards Wrightsboro Road when it veered into oncoming traffic. The Camry hit a Ford Escort and as a result, a Nissan Maxima rear-ended the Escort.

The only person in the Camry was the driver. They are being held at fault and it is unknown if they'll face any charges. The Escort had two occupants and the Maxima had four occupants, three of them being children.

Everyone involved, expect the mother driving the Maxima, was taken to the hospital. There were two serious injuries and five minor injuries, crews on the scene said.
