AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A lot of businesses have closed because of the threat of winter weather. The storm is expected to roll in Tuesday night. We found employees who actually welcome the colder temps.

News 12 went looking for the hottest job during one of the coldest time of the year.

"One of the first things you notice is how hot it is. You kind of want to escape because it's so hot and uncomfortable," said Charlie Cleaners Owner Thomas Choi.

Thomas Choi is use to 100 degree heat inside Charlie's Cleaners. His family owns the place and he grew up around all the cleaning and pressing.

"From the car to the store, I hate the cold, in here it feels a lot better and really cozy," he said.

When you first walk inside Charlie's Cleaners, it's about 60 degree's, but when you go to the back of the store things get really hot.

"Running my AC would be a waste, I can turn it on full power and in the back you won't even feel it. In the front you might feel it sometimes," he said.

It all boils down to the boiler. It supplies steam hotter than 150 degrees to each and every machine. Employees usually wear short sleeves while opening the doors and running fans to find relief.

"During the winter time, it's actually nicer because it's so cold outside. It's a nice comfortable temperature," he said

It's a hot gig but on days when it's freezing outside, it makes their job a little bit easier.
