AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is trying to spend more than $300,000 from October's gun sale for new equipment.

News 12 obtained a letter written by Sheriff Richard Roundtree listing items he would like to purchase for the sheriff's office.

The list includes GPS trackers for patrol cars, bullet proof vests, patrol rifles and 73 tasers.

A local charity, called Future Successors is also asking for some of that money.

Commissioners will decide next week how to split it up.
