AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- There was a suspicious package reported at McDonald's on Wrightsboro Road earlier tonight and the Richmond County Bomb Squad says it is no longer a threat.

Deputies were notified around 9 P.M. and when they arrived they were pointed towards a suitcase beside a trashcan near the Eastside entrance.

The RCSO Bomb Squad was requested, responded, and ruled the scene safe.
