MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office hopes photos connected through iCloud will help find suspects in a theft case.

On July 11, a woman told deputies someone stole her checkbook, iPhone and an auxiliary cord from her car on at the Family Y on Wheeler Road. She told deputies she wasn't sure the car was locked.

After reporting a stolen iPhone, the victim bought a new iPhone and photos appeared on her iCloud account, an internet system that saves data. The people in the photos may have committed the crime or know who did, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office said.
