Marcus Coleman, charged with deadly shooting at Scottish Inn in Augusta

AUGUSTA (WRDW) -- Marcus Andre Coleman has been transferred to the Richmond County Jail after being accused of a motel shooting.

Ralph Harrell died at the Scottish Inn on Stevens Creek Road in Augusta after being shot on Dec. 29.

Investigators are charging Coleman with Harrell's murder and having a weapon during a crime.

The Sheriff's Office, along with Aiken Public Safety and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division worked together to take 20-year old Marcus Andre Coleman into custody. Agents arrested Coleman at the Knights Inn on Jefferson Davis Highway in Aiken County on New Year's Eve.
