Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- One of the suspects targeted during a huge sweep in Richmond County last year has admitted to being involved in a robbery and other charges.

Marvin Major will spend the next 10 years behind bars. This comes after Major pleaded guilty to theft by receiving stolen property, robbery, burglary and a weapons charge.

Once Major is released from prison, he will spend another 10 years on probation.

Richmond County investigators picked him up during Operation Smoke Screen last year.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office targeted 109 people during the sweep for guns, drugs and stolen property.
