AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Some areas in Richmond County have reopened after flooding.

The following areas are now open to the public:

  • Boat ramps and boating access points in Richmond County (except Baurle Boat Ramp and 10th Street)
  • The lower walking paths on the Riverwalk (except 10th Street access) will reopen Thursday
  • Marina Road

The following areas are still closed:

  • Lock and Dam Park
  • Access to the Baurle Boat Ramp
  • 10th Street access to the Riverwalk
  • Boat ramp on Mims Road

Even though boat ramps are back open, Savannah Riverkeeper Tonya Bonitatibus says to remain cautious.

“A large amount of snags and trees lie just below the surface of the water and the current is still quite strong. Please use extreme caution and wear your life jackets at all times," said Bonitatibus in a news release.
