FORT GORDON, Ga. – Military personnel at Fort Gordon for the annual anti-terrorism exercise got more than they expected overnight.

According to a release from Fort Gordon, the storms caused damage in an area where the soldiers participating in the Reserve Component Annual Training and RED DRAGON exercise were housed in a bivouac area.

About two dozen members of the unit were taken to the Eisenhower Army Medical Center for treatment of storm related injuries from debris and damaged tents. They say there were no major injuries reported and most of the personnel treated have returned to duty.

The specialized training is set to continue through today.
