AIKEN CTY, S.C.--- A tragic accident leaves two men dead and a mother and her two children injured. The name of the second victim of Tuesday night's crash has now been released. Rico Copeland was the front seat passenger in the 1996 Ford Station Wagon and he died on the scene from his injuries.
The crash happened on Cooks Bridge Road--near Beaver Dam Road-- in Aiken County at around 10:00 pm last night Fourty-nine-year-old Henry Reedy of Aiken was the driver and died at the scene. Investigators say it looks like he lost control while driving southbound and struck several trees. A mother and her two twin children were transported to a local hospital. Officials say Salemia Copeland and her daughter and son were in the backseat and were not wearing seatbelts.
The Copeland family is coping with their loss. They say Rico was a "hardworker" and "he leaves behind a wife and stepson." Now Salemia and Rico's mother is hoping her grandkids recover. The twins have suffered serious injuries. The boy is expected to get surgery on his legs.
Officials also say the driver and front seat passenger were not wearing there seatbelts correctly. This is the 3rd and 4th traffic fatalities in Aiken County this year.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the SCHP. A toxicology report has not yet been released.

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C.-- South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms two people are dead after a single vehicle accident on Cooks Bridge and Beaver Dam Road.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Troopers tell us a car ran off the right side of Cooks Bridge Road and struck a tree. We're told the car then overturned and struck and a second tree.
The driver, 49-year-old Henry Reedy of Aiken, and a passenger, 33-year-old Rico Copeland of Augusta, died at the scene.
Two eight-year-olds, Kenyaa and Kessawa Copeland-Walker, and their mother, 27-year-old Salemia Copeland, had to be extricated from the car, which had landed on its side. We're told the three were not wearing seat belts.
Aiken County dispatch tells News 12 the deceased driver was the boyfriend of Salemia Copeland.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation and a toxicology report is pending the driver.
