Shoplifting investigation at CVS Pharmacy

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shoplifting case at the CVS Pharmacy on Old Petersburg Rd.

According to the incident report, the victim reported that a couple worked in coordination to steal a carton of cigarettes on Jan. 19.

Deputies reviewed surveillance footage and say a man walked behind the counter of the store, grabbed the cigarettes, and concealed them under his sweatshirt. The victim told deputies that a woman distracted the person working at the front counter.
