UPDATE: Deputies say Columbia County shooting is drug-related

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Columbia County dispatch says deputies are investigating a shooting on Old Union Road at Tolbert Drive that sent one man to the hospital.

Dispatch says authorities responded around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
They say Larry German was inside his home on Tolbert Drive when a man with a black mask tried to force his way into his home.

Germany was shot in the right forearm and was taken to GRU medical center for treatment.

Since then, the Sheriff's office says that the shooting was drug related.

According to the sheriff's office, Willie Samuels was inside the home at the time and was charged with possession of cocaine and is currently in the Columbia County Detention Center.

No arrest has been of the shooter yet according to the sheriff's office.
