Second raccoon test positive for rabies

AIKEN, SC (WRDW) -- Health officials in Aiken have discovered a second raccoon has tested positive for rabies.
The raccoon was captured Wednesday around the Cherry Hill Dr. area.

This is Aiken's fifth case of rabies this year.

This is the second rabid raccoon found within two weeks in Aiken.
Last week one was found on Northwood Dr.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control's website has more information on rabies for those who think they may have come in contact with a rabid animal.
