GRANITEVILLE, S.C. -- The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men who stole from an 80-year-old woman after breaking into her home early Thursday morning.

The white males came into the victim's home on Gregg Street around 12:20 a.m.

The woman says she was standing in her room when she heard a noise. That's when she says the two men, both wearing dark clothing and something covering their faces, came charging toward her.

One of them grabbed her by the wrists and said, "Give us the money, old lady." This burglar held her by the wrists while the other man took cash out of her pocketbook and grabbed her cellphone.

She says one of the burglars asked where a former tenant was during the incident.

The reporting officer says her wrists were "badly bruised and bleeding." EMS responded to her home for treatment.

There were no signs that the burglars forced their way inside the home. The victim says she may have left her key in the back door.

Neither burglar has been identified at this time.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (800) 922-9709. Individuals can also call Crimestoppers of the Midlands: (888) CRIME-SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward between $50 and $1,000.
