AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County School System is now looking into PTA funds at Willis Foreman Elementary.
According to a news release from the school system, the principal of Willis Foreman emailed the PTA district president asking for $1,500 to fund Honors Day. The principal was told the funds were not available.
According to the release, the PTA normally provides funds for Honors Day trophies and awards.
The school district says state officers will be involved in the inquiry.
Honors Day activities are planned to go on as scheduled.
