Update: 3 killed in head-on collision identified

CLARKS HILL, S.C. (WRDW) -- The coroner confirmed the names of the three people who died after a head-on collision in McCormick County.

Michael Wayne Brantley, 38, was alone in his truck during the accident and was airlifted and later died at the hospital, the coroner said.

Also, married couple LaChadrick Terell Freeman, 34, and LaToya Freeman, 32, died at the scene, the coroner said.

South Carolina Highway Patrol said two pick-up trucks collided on Highway 28 at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers said all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
