COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Officials are scheduled to announce whether the unemployment rate in South Carolina continues to fall.
The state's Department of Employment and Workforce is set to release the November unemployment rate for South Carolina on Friday morning.
October's unemployment rate dropped by half a percentage point to 8.6 percent, sending South Carolina's jobless rate to its lowest level in nearly four years. It also was the biggest drop in a month of an unemployment rate in the country.
South Carolina's unemployment rate was 10.8 percent in November 2010 and 9.8 percent in November 2011.
