SC mother receiving treatment in Augusta after being set on fire

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A woman is fighting for her life at a hospital in Augusta after allegedly being set on fire by her son.

Hospital officials say 61-year-old Debra Davis is in critical condition at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center.

Initial report:

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- An Anderson County woman is being treated at an Augusta hospital after being set on fire.

Investigators say 61-year-old Debra Davis got into an argument with her son at a New Year's party in Anderson County, S.C. During the argument, he allegedly set her on fire.

Davis sustained second-and-third-degree burns.

Her son accused in the incident, Shawn Davis, is expected to face criminal charges for the incident.

Shawn was allegedly shot by his brother after the brother learned of the fire incident. His injuries are not said to be life threatening.
