CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The ex-wife of U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford has accused the congressman of violating the couple's divorce agreement.
Their agreement is sealed and the complaint released by the family court was redacted and did not include what her ex-husband is accused of doing.
Jenny Sanford declined comment. But Mark Sanford spokesman Jon Kohan says it is an attempt to attract unnecessary attention to a private family real estate matter concerning Sanford's farm.
Last year, the couple settled an earlier complaint that Mark Sanford violated the divorce by being in his ex-wife's home without permission.
As governor five years ago, Sanford disappeared for five days and returned from Argentina to admit he had been having an affair with a woman to whom he is now engaged. He finished his term and was elected to Congress last year.
