AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW)- The CSRA is preparing for winter weather to hit once again.
Richmond County had a few issues with bridges and overpasses two weeks ago but it didn't cause a lot of problems. However, with significantly more ice accumulation expected, crews are preparing early.
Columbia County is prepared to load more salt and sand and rock trucks are on standby.
Richmond County crews will be doing the same. They say they may pre-treat some of the roads that had issues last time.
Emergency Operations Center in Columbia County opened up Tuesday morning and it will remain open throughout the storm.
Agencies are advising you to stay off the road.
