AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Starting early Monday morning, some prominent road closures could cause delays for drivers in Augusta.
From 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. every day next week, one lane of Wrightsboro Road between Belair and Maddox Roads will be closed for paving.
Starting Tuesday, Oct. 15, drivers will need to follow a detour at the State Route 4 and Interstate 520 overpass. Crews will be doing bridge construction there.
Georgia DOT says a signed detour will be in place urging drivers to use I-520 West, State Route 10/Gordon Highway, and I-520 East.
Officials are warning drivers to expect delays and consider taking alternate routes if possible.
