AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County principal Dr. Wayne Frazier's retirement starts Friday.

Dr. Frazier sent in his resignation Thursday after being demoted to teaching in a classroom at Glen Hills Middle School back in May.

Dr. Frazier was the principal at Glen Hills High School from 2009 to 2012 and then at the Alternative Education Center from 2012 to 2014. He's worked for the Richmond County School System for 18 years.
