AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man accused of killing his roommate entered a not guilty plea on two murder charges, according to the courts.
Altaye Levelle Knight, 21, was arrested and charged in May with Damon Terrell Prymus', 27, murder. He was indicted on Aug. 13.
The pair lived together off of North Barton Drive, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies said. Prymus' body was found in a field off of Wilson Road in Hephzibah.
The Assistant District attorney said Prymus got into a fight with Knight and Knight told police he overpowered him and beat him to death with a bat. Knight admitted to letting the body sit in their house for days before dumping it in a Hephzibah field covered in branches, authorities said.
