Richmond Co. deputy's wife accused of attacking former Code Enforcement officer

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A Richmond County deputy's wife has been arrested for allegedly attacking a former Columbia County Code Enforcement officer at a bar.

Karen Salter McDaniel was arrested for simple battery.

The Sheriff's Office says McDaniel attacked Jimmy Vowell with a beer bottle at The Country Club on Washington Road a few weeks ago.

Vowell is a former Code Enforcement worker who was fired after being caught on camera walking into a woman's home while she was sleeping. That woman has since sued Vowell.
