Pedestrians struck in 2 different places along Barton Chapel Road

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Two accidents with injuries involving two pedestrians happened Friday night.

Richmond County dispatch confirmed a pedestrian was struck around 9:30 p.m. on Barton Chapel Road at Deans Bridge Road. Deputies say the accident was a hit-and-run. There is no information on the driver of the vehicle.

Another pedestrian was struck at the nearby intersection of Barton Chapel Road at London Boulevard.

There is no word on the extent of the injuries, but deputies say both pedestrians were taken to the hospital.
